EnerBio brand fruit shakes recalled

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has warned of the presence of peanuts, nuts y sesame in the fruit smoothies of the brand EnerBiofrom Germany. The agency attached to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs has issued a press release in which it explains that the said ingredients are not specified in the labeled of the product. Therefore, as a measure of precautionthe AESAN recommends that people with allergies o intolerances refrain from consuming these shakes.

However, the organization informs that the consumption of these shakes “does not entail any risk to persons non-allergic“.

All affected lots

The AESAN notice affects all lots, regardless of the best-before date. Therefore, all those fruit smoothies marketed in plastic bottles from 250 milliliterswith screw cap and sold under the designation Haferfreude Smoothieowned by EnerBio, remain encompassed within this warning.

The agency became aware of this anomaly thanks to the European Food Alert Network (RASFF), from where a alert notification from the health authorities of Germany.
