Ukrainian authorities have reported that early Thursday morning kamikaze drone attacks have been recorded in the Kiev region.

Alexei Kuleba, the head of the Kyiv region administration, has reported the attacks on “one of the communities of the region, a kamikaze drone attack,” he posted on his profile on the Telegram social network.

Kuleba, moreover, has said that rescue teams are at the scene of the attack, and has asked citizens to stay in shelters until the alarm alerts them that they can come out.

In recent days, Russia has taken a change of strategy in the war in Ukraine, so that it is focusing attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure. Moscow has taken this action in retaliation for an explosion on Saturday that damaged the strategic Kerch Bridge, which links Russia and the annexed Crimean peninsula.
