Blizzard has announced that the next major content update for World of Warcraft, titled Seeds of Renewal, will be released on Jan. 16. The update, numbered 10.2.5, brings a large number of story elements to the game and effectively acts as an epilogue to the story in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
Some of the content coming to World of Warcraft with the new update include new story missions, the ability to use Dragonriding in zones outside Dragon Isle, the Reclamation of Gilneas event and Follower Dungeons, among other features.
Some of the story developments coming to the game with the update include the Night Elves getting a new home in the form of Bal’ameth, and the Alliance finally deciding to take back the city-state of Gilneas from the Worgen plague that controls the zone.
Players will also have the ability to engage dungeons with AI party members with the new Follower Dungeons feature. This allows players to explore and complete dungeons at their own pace. At launch, the feature will only be available for Dragonflight dungeons.
Seeds of Renewal is the first major content update planned for World of Warcraft in 2024, with the game also receiving a secret update, as well as the launch of Season 4 in the spring.
