Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Dimps have announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 24. Those who already own the PS4 or Xbox One versions will be able to upgrade to the current generation versions of the game, while also keeping all their saved data.
However, transferring saved data from the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 to the equivalent current-gen console will be a more involved process, and detailed instructions will be revealed later.
As Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 makes its way to more platforms after being out since 2016, Bandai Namco is keeping releases based on the Dragon Ball franchise going strong. The publisher is currently working with Spike Chunsoft on the spiritual successor to the Dragon Ball Tenkaichi Budokai series of games, called Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
Dragon Ball FighterZ has also recently received new life with its recent release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as the addition of rollback netcode to the fighting game. Both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 have been incredibly successful, with Bandai Namco revealing last year that the two titles had each sold more than 10 million copies.
