Renowned physician Ioan Lascăr is Adrian Artene’s guest on the ALTCEVA podcast to be broadcast on Saturday, July 30, starting at 7:00 pm.
Born on 1 January 1948 in Comănești, Bacău, Ioan Lascăr graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine in Bucharest in 1971. Since 1979 he has been a specialist in Plastic Surgery. He is currently head of the Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery Clinic of the Emergency Clinical Hospital of Bucharest.
He is married to Maria Lascăr, a gynaecologist and they have a son, Bogdan Lascăr, a plastic artist.
Ioan Lascăr is known for operating on the first transsexual in Romania in 1996, a man named Sorin who became a woman.
Also, in 2015, he reshaped the genital organ of the patient mutilated by Dr. Naum Ciomu.
He is the author of world firsts, including the removal of a giant tumour and the reconstruction of the ”Birdman” fingers in Galati.
