Death Stranding get movie – That’s Gaming

A24, the studio behind Academy Award-winning films such as Everything Everywhere All At Once, has announced a collaboration with KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS to turn Hideo Kojima’s acclaimed video game, DEATH STRANDING, into a live-action feature film.

Hideo Kojima is a world-renowned game creator and author known for pushing the boundaries of the video game medium. He is widely considered the father of the stealth genre and is also credited for innovating both storytelling and cinematic presentation in video games in general.

On Dec. 16, 2015, Hideo Kojima founded his own studio called KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, under the banner “From Sapiens to Ludens.” The studio is celebrating its eight-year anniversary this year.

On Nov. 8, 2019, the studio released its first title, DEATH STRANDING, starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Léa Seydoux, for PlayStation 4. Since its release, DEATH STRANDING has launched on PC and has received numerous gaming awards and gained worldwide acclaim. .

In 2020, Hideo Kojima received the BAFTA Fellowship, the highest award BAFTA bestows on an individual in recognition of an outstanding contribution to film, games or television.
