Daredevil moves to Disney+: Born Again will be different from what you knew, what Charlie Cox says

Charlie Cox has shared some details about Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel’s upcoming series that will be seen on Disney+, revealing that filming will take place throughout next year.

Charlie Cox will reprise the role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Disney+ series, a role he also played in the Netflix series, which ran for three seasons from 2015-2018. Murdock also appeared in a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and in a minor role in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.

“They said, ‘We’re going to film in 2023,'” Cox confessed in an interview with NME. “I said, ‘Great, when?” They said, “All in 2023.” We start filming in February and finish in December.”

What will be different about Daredevil

Cox told the publication that he is looking forward to playing a new version of the Matt Murdock character.

“This has to be a reincarnation, it has to be different, otherwise why do it?” he said. The popular Netflix series had a fairly dark tone with graphic violence, but this one is shaping up to be different.

“My guess is that this character works best when it’s geared towards a younger audience. My instinct is that on Disney+ there will be darkness, but probably not as much blood,” Cox added.

To fans hoping for a sequel to the earlier series, Cox said they might be disappointed, as the series is now trying to appeal to a slightly younger audience.

You should know that Daredevil: Born Again has received an 18-episode order for its first season, which was announced at Comic-Con in July.

“I’m fascinated to discover that they chose to do 18 episodes,” he added.

In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, Daredevil: Born Again will also star Michael Gandolfini, Sandrine Holt and Margarita Levieva.

Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
