Dacia Duster, in the breathtaking version, officially confirmed: where to find the most powerful Romanian SUV

Dacia continues to make efforts to meet the demands of the most demanding customers, and in this sense, just to unveil the most powerful SUV. The 170-horsepower Dacia Duster is the model that all off-road enthusiasts dream of.

If you don’t already have enough reasons to throw away an investment in a Dacia Duster, a new version of the car might fascinate you enough. Unfortunately, officially, this surprise iteration will not be available on the Romanian market, so you have to resort to some logistical fireworks, if you want to get your hands on one. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.

The 170-horsepower Dacia Duster is worth all the money

On the Brazilian market, a variant of Dacia with a 1.3 TCe engine and 170 horsepower entered the offer of the Mioveni manufacturer. However, it is important to note that in this country, Romanian creations are sold under the Renault logo. So, in practice, we are talking about a new Renault Duster.

The engine defined above is the most powerful you have ever been able to find on a Duster. The former “leader” in the field was available in Europe and consisted of a 2-liter engine and 150 horsepower. The source of the 1.3 TCe engine and 170 horsepower is Renault Arkana and Captur. Even on those cars, however, it does not have that power, because of the legislation on emissions. In South America, however, the legislation is significantly more relaxed compared to Europe on this subject. In addition, that market is demanding more and more affordable cars.

Dacia Duster in the 1.3TCe version with 170 horsepower also comes bundled with a six-speed CVT X-Tronic automatic gearbox, but without all-wheel drive, only 4X2. It reaches 100 kilometers per hour in 9.2 seconds and has a maximum torque of 270 Nm. The purchase price is 24,700 euros.
