The cryptocurrency custody expert BitGo received a investment strategic from the well-known secure transport company Brink’s.
The BitGo crypto custodian has announced Wednesday on X that it had formed an alliance with Brink’s. The US security firm has also made an undisclosed investment in the digital asset specialist.
For BitGo Trust president Jody Mettler, Brink’s cash and valuables business creates “an interesting marriage” for a crypto custodian.
Having a global secure site presence is important to us as we expand into regions like Asia-Pacific and EMEA. This means being able to leverage their network and expertise in these regions for security protocols and locations,” she explained on Coindesk.
Brink’s had already teamed up with another crypto-cutody firm, Metaco, to facilitate the transition from digital to physically segregated storage solutions around the world.
“The combination of our two strong and widely recognized brands will bring peace of mind to BitGo’s growing customer base,” added Paul Diemer, Brink’s VP Strategy about the new partnership.
