Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Kou Shibusawa revealed the latest combat details for the upcoming historical simulation NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening, the 16th game in Kou Shibusawa’s acclaimed franchise. NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening combines military power with political diplomacy in a quest to conquer the Warring States of Japan. The title will be available digitally starting July 20, 2023 and is currently in development for PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch and PC Windows via Steam®.

In NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening, players will experience the difficult times of Warring States-era, 16th-century Japan through the virtual life of a daimyō, a powerful Japanese leader, landowner and feudal lord. Leading troops into battle can be tricky, as the daimyō must quickly assess every situation on the rapidly changing battlefield to successfully take control of the map. The first thing they must do is march. Look over the land and choose the marching route carefully, as certain routes may have obstacles, such as roads too narrow for large troop movements, or even an enemy fortress! Choosing the wrong route could lead your army into a devastating situation.
