Avatar metaverse: GoodGang Labs seduces Korean giant Kakao

GoodGang Labsa Web3 studio specialized in avatars which aims to transform the wayexpress his identity and contact in the metaverse, received a investment of South Korean giant Kakao.

Kakao Investmentthe investment arm of the Korean firm specializing in Internet services and owner of the Kakao Talk application, has invested $2 million in GoodGang Labsa startup that enablesinteract via animated avatars and soon NFT.

Based in Singapore and co-founded by Line and Facebook alumni, GoodGang Labs is building a platform called avatar communication “offering the possibility “to express one’s true identity online” but also “to use one’s passions to generate income in a playful way”.

Named Kiki Townthe platform uses aAI to animate avatars by analyzing information from webcams of users.

GoodGang Lab also wants to make it possible to interact via non-fungible tokens. Its future solution GoodHouse will offer the possibility of engaging in conversations through “2D and 3D NFTs” from several blockchains.

Our mission is to revolutionize the way people connect and communicate in the digital age,” proclaimed GoodGang Labs boss Dookyung Ahn.

The start-up is also focusing on B2B market with an API as a software service (SaaS) dedicated to its human-avatar interaction technology.
