At least one person has died and eight have been wounded after a fight between two families led to a shootout Thursday night in the Bedouin-majority Israeli town of Rahat in the south of the country, according to police sources.
Of the eight wounded, one is in critical condition following the dispute in Rahat’s 26th neighborhood, as reported by ‘The Jerusalem post’.
Emergency crews have rushed to the scene, provided medical treatment and evacuated seven of them to Soroka hospital in Be’er Sheva.
The preliminary investigation has determined that the origin of the case is a conflict between two families. The Israeli Police are investigating the incident.
