ARTmania 2023 has announced the first bands confirmed for next year’s edition, but also the prices of the passes.
The good news is that although it’s still October 2022, ARTmania Festival already has three heavyweights on the bill – Emperor, Samael and Pail of Salvation. The equally good news is that in the coming months, new big names could join, with audiences even hoping for a return of Lacrimosa.
In case you were wondering, season tickets have already gone on sale. They can be purchased from the iabilet.ro network and cost 367,65 lei/subscription.
As a reminder, at ARTmania 2022 we could see, among others, Mercyful Fate, Meshuggah, Transatlantic, Testament, Cult of Luna, My Dying Bride, Leprous, The Pineapple Thief, Pain of Salvation or The Vintage Caravan.
In addition, the rock music avid audience also had the opportunity to listen live to three of the best Romanian bands: Bucovina, Dor de Duh and Taine.
ARTmania is the longest running rock festival in Romania
ARTmania is the longest-running festival in its niche, being the first in our country to focus on the combination of rock music and fine arts, being, at the same time, a platform dedicated to promoting “all forms of artistic expression inspired by rock culture”. The festival wanted to become a regional promoter of contemporary music projects and we can say that this has been successfully achieved.
Most of the ARTmania editions have been held in Sibiu’s Great Square, one of the most beautiful European medieval fortresses. 2022 will not break with this custom, which has become a tradition.
Since its first edition in 2006, the festival has brought to the stage names like Lacrimosa, Steven Wilson, Peter Hammill, Serj Tankian, Devin Townsend, Die Toten Hosen, Nightwish, Within Temptation, HIM, Tarja Turunen, The Gathering, The Sisters of Mercy, Anathema, Apocalyptica, Lacuna Coil, Helloween, Poets of the Fall, Therion, Amorphis or Deine Lakaien, among many-many others.
