“Russia kills civilians. On July 7, the Russians killed six civilians in the Donetsk region,” denounced the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kirilenko, in a message on his Telegram account. Thus, he detailed that the victims were residents of Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Siversk, Pokrovsky and Orlivka.

Kirilenko has stated that another 21 people have been wounded over the past 24 hours from Russian attacks and has published an infographic stating that since the beginning of the war the Russians have killed 583 civilians and wounded 1,571 in Donetsk, although he added that “it is impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volonovaja.”

The war broke out on February 24 because of the invasion order given by Putin, who days earlier had recognized the independence of the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugank, located in the Donbas (east) and the scene of an armed conflict since 2014.
