MADRID, March 20. (Royals Blue) –
The Ukrainian Children’s Prosecutor’s Office has reported that at least 115 children have died (three more than on Saturday) and more than 140 have been injured in attacks carried out by Russia since the beginning of its invasion of the country, on February 24, until this Sunday.
Most of the child victims, counting deaths and injuries, have been recorded in the capital kyiv region, with 58, followed by Kharkov (36), Chernihiv (30), Donetsk (29), Mikolaiv (20), Yitomir (15), Sumy (14) and Jersón (14), according to their balance published on their Telegram channel.
Likewise, the Prosecutor’s Office has denounced that 489 educational institutions have registered material damage since the beginning of the invasion, fifty more than the previous day, 69 of which have been completely destroyed, without changes with respect to the balance of Saturday.
Most schools have been hit in the Donetsk region, on the country’s eastern front, where 138 have been hit by Russian strikes. Approximately 41 schools in the capital kyiv region have also been affected.
The child victims of the war were the subject of a tribute held on Friday in the city of Lviv, in the west of the country and under the control of the Ukrainian government. There, in one of its squares, activists and parents placed more than a hundred empty baby strollers in commemoration of the deceased minors.
It must be remembered that the figures of victims provided by the Ukrainian Government are practically double those considered by the United Nations, which has confirmed up to yesterday 64 children dead and 78 injured since the beginning of the invasion.
