MADRID, Feb. 16 (Royals Blue) –
The Spanish rider Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) said this Wednesday that his “main objective is to grow the bike” for the new season, for which he is “physically and mentally at his best”, after a preseason in which he felt “very well”.
“My main goal is to grow the bike, it’s an important challenge, but in the preseason I felt very good, we have great potential,” said Viñales before attending the premiere of the Amazon Exclusive docuseries ‘MotoGP Unlimited’ at the Capitol Theater in Madrid.
The Spaniard acknowledged that after seeing his times and pace during the pre-season tests he is “close” to reaching the “maximum” with the Aprilia. “That gives me a lot of motivation, because I know I can go much faster. Both physically and mentally I’m at my best, it’s important to start like this,” he added.
Finally, in relation to the docuseries, in which Dorna, Prime Video and The Mediapro Studio have participated, Viñales was “happy” with the final result. “I am very normal, what happens is that sometimes I am very direct. In the end, there is a lot of difference between competition and normal life, many people only know us with a helmet and a suit and that is totally different. It is difficult to show your version on race weekends”, he concluded.
