Earthbound gets a collaboration with Converse for its 30th anniversary

The Earthbound or Mother series won’t knock Mario off his pedestal anytime soon, but the characters and games certainly have their own devoted fans. The original Earthbound, the second Mother game released, is coming up 30 years since it launched.

To celebrate this anniversary, Hobonichi Mother has unveiled a stylish pair of Converse shoes made in collaboration with the game. In the design of the shoes, you can see a lot of images of Mr. Saturn and a few other recognizable faces from Earthbound.

Unless you live in Japan, it seems almost impossible to buy these shoes, as they will be available in person at Mother’s Bazaar from Jan. 9 to Jan. 15, 2025. Oh well, at least they are beautiful to look at.
