Verge Motorcycles shows off new bike with ‘eyesight’ -.

Verge Motorcycles aims to take a major step forward in efforts to make motorcycling safer. The car company has announced the world’s first bicycle with the ” vision system”, a feature that essentially uses AI and various other bits of hardware and software to give the rider a ” clear and informative overall picture” on their display.
The upgrades come to the electric bike manufacturer’s flagship model, the TS Ultra, and will work with a combination of six cameras and high-resolution front and rear radars, as well as the use of over-the-air updates (OTA), sensor technology, AI and a Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) to make bikes safer than ever.
“Verge is making riding even smarter and safer, for example by improving the rider’s ability to observe the bike’s surroundings and functions using artificial intelligence and machine learning,” said Verge CTO Marko Lehtimäki. “The TS Ultra’s new cameras combined with the software update announced today make it the world’s first motorcycle equipped with vision, advising the rider and acting as a ‘whisperer’ while riding.”

The upgraded bike will be on display at CES 2024 this week.
