Ryan Gosling clearly surprised as I’m Just Ken wins Critics Choice Award – Barbie

While the Barbie -film may have been largely about Barbie, it’s hard not to argue that Ryan Gosling’s Ken stole many of the scenes he starred in. He even got his own 1980s-themed power ballad in I’m Just Ken, a song that virtually everyone had on a Spotify playlist in the summer of 2023.

The hype may have died down a bit for I’m Just Ken, but apparently it is still considered a hit when it comes to those voting at the Critics Choice Awards. The song won Best Original Song, and it was a bit of a surprise to some. However, no one seemed more shocked by the win than Ryan Gosling, who appears in a dazed stupor after the announcement.
As Mark Ronson – the song’s producer – stood up to accept the award, the camera cut back to Gosling, who shook his head as if he still couldn’t believe it. Sorry Ryan, but if you thought you were coming out of an Oscars performance, you were dead wrong.
