This cat has just set a Guinness World Record for its monstrously loud purring -.

The world record for the loudest purr made by a feline currently alive has been pulverized by a 14-year-old cat from Cambridgeshire. The cat, known as Bella, who lives in Huntingdon in the United Kingdom, is recorded purring at a whopping 54.6 decibels, which is enough to make her currently the loudest purring cat in the world … at least on record.

The previous record stood at 50dB, showing just how mighty Bella can purr. It is said in the Sky News report that Bella’s 54.6dB of spinning is equivalent to that of a boiling kettle and that during the recording of her spinning the ” results were immediately obvious”.

Although Bella’s record is impressive, it must be said that other now-deceased cats have beaten Bella’s spiders before, with the late Merlin from Torquay managing to rip out a mega 67.8dB spider in the past, which is why Bella only holds the record for currently living felines.
