A new report indicates that the Google Pixel 8 could get 7 years of updates for its operating system, security and Feature Drop. This would be a significant upgrade from the previous 5 years of updates, 3 of which focused on the operating system and two with new security features.

According to the leaked information, which comes from 91Mobiles and renowned leaker Kamila Wojciechowska, the updates will be split with 5 years dedicated to the operating system and three focused on security.

If this information is true, Google will surpass samsung, which offers 4 years of software updates. Could this mean that users will jump ship? Maybe, but we will have to wait and see from Google if this is official or not.
