Sonic Superstars gets new video showing the Trio of Trouble – That’s Gaming

Publisher Sega has released a new animated video for the upcoming side-scrolling title Sonic Superstars. The video, titled “Trio of Trouble,” introduces us to new characters making their debut in the game, including Fang the Hunter and Trip, along with Dr. Eggman. Check out the video below.

The video serves as an animated introduction for Sonic Superstars, and while it doesn’t show any gameplay, it instead focuses on showing the overall upbeat atmosphere of the upcoming game. Although the trailer does not explicitly confirm anything, it is also likely that we will see Fang the Hunter as a playable character in Sonic Superstars.

Sonic Superstars is scheduled for release on Oct. 17 and will appear on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. The game also marks the first time a Sonic game has merged its traditional 2D gameplay with 3D graphics more in line with titles such as Sonic Frontiers.

The game also revealed one of the songs from its soundtrack in a trailer – Pinball Carnival Act 1.
