Titanfall 3 should be the right project at the right time says Respawn CEO – That’s Gaming

The Titanfall franchise may not get a sequel for a long time. Vince Zampella, the CEO of Respawn Entertainment, recently discussed the possibility of a Titanfall 3 and revealed that now is not the right time for a sequel to the mech-based shooter franchise.

In an interview with Barron’s, Zampella said it is necessary for the studio to work on Titanfall 3 if it is the right idea and the right time. Without those aspects, according to Zampella, it makes no sense for the studio to work on a sequel. Unfortunately, this is not the first time Respawn has indicated that Titanfall 3 will not happen soon.

“It has to be the right thing,” Zampella said. “It’s such a beloved franchise for the fans and also for us. If it’s not the right time, the right idea, then it just doesn’t make sense.”

Although the studio itself has not announced any new projects in the Titanfall setting, there are rumors that EA canceled a single-player project based on Titanfall earlier this year.

Respawn Entertainment has mainly focused on its battle royale shooter, Apex Legends, and also on the Star Wars franchise with its Star Wars Jedi series, the most recent title of which, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, comes out today on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
