This is what the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, has told the ministers during the meeting of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System, and in which she has explained the details of the royal decree that she will take to the Council of Ministers next Tuesday.

Darias has clarified that masks will no longer be mandatory, in addition to public transport, in health establishments such as. opticians, audiometry centers or orthopedics, where until now they had to be taken.

However, it will have to continue to be worn in health centers, hospitals, nursing homes and other health and social-health centers, whether they are workers or visitors, as well as in pharmacies and drugstores.

The modification of the regulation to be approved by the Government next Tuesday will come into force when it is published in the BOE, which will foreseeably occur the following day.
