Realme GT Neo 5 performance confirmed with Geekench results. The phone comes with 16GB RAM

The Realme GT Neo 5 is expected with 240W fast charging and 16GB RAM, if the latest rumors are to be believed. The phone set for launch at the Mobile World Congress show in February comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 16GB RAM, outlining a tempting choice for flagship killer phone enthusiasts.

Apparently, only the 150W model will make it to Western markets, with Realme wanting to avoid any possible complications with premature failure or possible “spontaneous combustion” of the 240W charging model. Even so, the Realme GT Neo 5 could have plenty of edge over the competition, with early results in the GeekBench catalog indicating a very competitive performance level, with 1279 points scored in the single-core test and a respectable 3902 points in the multi-core. Even if the performance shown leaves a noticeable gap to the new generation of phones with SD8 Gen 2, the purchase price could leave a pleasant surprise.

According to information obtained “on sources”, Realme will ship the GT Neo 5 with a top-of-the-line OLED display, featuring 1.5K resolution (FHD+) on a 6.7 inc diagonal, with 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM technology illumination, eliminating any possibility for noticeable image flicker.

The camera system is powered by the Sony IMX890 sensor, with 50MP native resolution, optical stabilisation and optimisations to maximise light sensitivity.

Realme caps the capacity listed on the 240W charging model’s label at 4600mAh, leaving the 5000mAh capacity offered for the 150W model untouched). At the same time, the manufacturer assures prospective buyers that the battery will withstand at least 1000 charge/discharge cycles until the available capacity drops below 80% of the level listed in the specs. By comparison, the 150W charging version of the phone should withstand 1600 charge/discharge cycles.
