Robert Pattinson looks creepy in Parasite director Bong Joon-ho’s new film Mickey 17, scheduled for release in March 2024.

Warner Bros. reveals a teaser for Mickey 17. The upcoming sci-fi thriller joins forces with Robert Pattinson and Oscar winner Bong Joon-ho, with the two announcing they will work on the project earlier this year. Production on the film began in August, but audiences are already getting an exciting first look at the film.

As production nears completion, Warner Bros. has released a teaser trailer for Mickey 17. The video offers a chilling first look at Parasite director Bong Joon-ho’s new film, starring Robert Pattinson in the title role, set in a strange-looking pod.

Mickey 17 is said to be based on Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey7, and focuses on the character of Pattinson, an employee working in the ice world of Niflheim, who is often tasked with the most dangerous missions for a human expedition, frequently resulting in his death and regeneration through a clone with most of his memories intact.

After disappearing on a routine mission, Mickey7 returns to his colony to find a new clone who is already performing Expendable duties and must try to keep his dual existence under wraps. When native alien species begin to approach the colony, which is struggling to terraform the planet for humanity, Mickey7 will have to rise up and find a way to save both humanity and the local life forms.

Pattinson isn’t the only major name in the cast of Mickey 17, as he is joined by Master of None star Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun of Nope, Knives Out star Toni Collette, Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran Mark Ruffalo and Holliday Grainger of The Capture.

With production running from August through this month, the release of the Mickey 17 teaser comes as a surprise, but a welcome one to help set the chilling tone to come from the sci-fi thriller.

With more than a year to go before the film hits theaters, it appears that a release date can’t be set at this time.
