At least eight people have been killed and nearly 25 injured in attacks executed early Monday by the Russian Army against the Ukrainian capital Kiev, officials have confirmed.

Rostislav Smirnov, advisor to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, has indicated on his account on the social network Facebook that the most affected area is the Shevchenkiv district and added that emergency and rescue teams are working in the area.
