A fighter plane of the Malian Armed Forces has crashed this Tuesday morning near the airport of the city of Gao, in the east of the country.
As confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces in a statement, the aircraft, model Su-25, was returning from a mission to support the civilian population of the homonymous region.
Although the military authorities have not confirmed the official death toll, media outlets such as the Malijet portal report one dead and one wounded, according to local sources.
