Ukraine raises “liberated” territory in east to 3,000 square kilometers

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have stated that, so far this month, they have already “liberated” more than 3,000 square kilometers of territory seized by Russian troops, the result of a counteroffensive whose main focus is the Kharkov region.

The Ukrainian Army has disseminated images that would give an account of the areas and equipment recovered in the last days, in which the president himself, Volodimir Zelenski, has confirmed advances on dozens of localities.

The Russian Defense Ministry has recognized the withdrawal of its troops in some areas although, contrary to Kiev, it does not attribute it to military defeats but to tactical reasons. Moscow, in fact, has reported this Sunday that its forces have managed to prevent the “enemy” from breaking through one of the lines of defense, according to the Interfax agency.
