Three dead after Taliban Black Hawk helicopter crashes in Kabul

At least three people have been killed and two more injured after a US-made Taliban Black Hawk model helicopter crashed in the city of Kabul.

The Taliban Defense Ministry has reported the incident and that two of the deceased were pilots of the aircraft, Jaama Press news agency reports.

The helicopter crashed on Saturday afternoon at a military training base in Kabul due to a “technical error.”

A large number of Afghan Army helicopters passed into the hands of the Taliban when they took power in August 2021, although others flew to neighboring countries such as Tajikistan or Uzbekistan.
