Two planes have collided this Thursday at Watsonville Municipal Airport, in California (USA), while attempting to land, resulting in “multiple fatalities”.
The incident was reported at 14.56 local time (23.56 Spanish peninsular time), as reported by the city of Watsonville, which has indicated that the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident.
However, for the moment, the authorities have not given further details about the accident, without specifying the number of victims.
“We are in mourning tonight for this unexpected and sudden loss,” said the mayor of the city, Ari Parker. “I want to express my deepest and most heartfelt condolences,” he added.
