Russia claims destruction of power line in Ukrainian attack on Bryansk region

Russian authorities have denounced Friday the destruction of a power line in the Bryansk region, located on the border with Ukraine, due to an artillery attack by the Ukrainian Army, an event that has ended without casualties.

“Today at 5 a.m. (local time) artillery fire from Ukrainian territory was registered against the village of Nekislitsi in the Sevski district,” Bryansk regional governor Alexander Bogomaz said in a message on his Telegram account.

“As a result of the attack, a power line has been damaged. There are no casualties or injuries. All emergency services are on site. A team of electricians are also on site to start restoring the line,” he stressed.

The Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions have repeatedly denounced attacks by the Ukrainian Army, as part of the invasion launched on the orders of Putin, who days earlier had recognized the independence of the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, located in eastern Ukraine and the scene of a conflict since 2014.
