ChatGPT can do a lot if you know how to communicate with it.

OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT has quickly become one of the most influential tech innovations in the world. It’s been available to the public for almost half a year, and yet users still find useful and interesting ways to use AI for themselves.

In this article, we will introduce you to six other prompts that you should definitely know.

Let’s start with a very simple but very important prompt that many users do not know.

As impressive as ChatGPT is, it’s not without its weaknesses and flaws. If you use the chatbot more often, you will have noticed that it simply stops and does not continue with longer answers.

In such cases, you don’t have to repeat your prompt, just »continue where you left off« or in English »continue where you left offtype «.

Anyone remember the Akinator? It was a browser game in which you imagine a person. The Akinator, a djinn from the lamp, then finds out with a few questions which person you have in mind.

When the Akinator first became popular, many were stunned by how well it worked (using simple elimination).

With ChatGPT, you can turn the tables and search for things you can’t even remember the exact name of. For example forgotten song titles, pictures, stories, games, films and series.

Prerequisite for success: what you are looking for, is not after September 2021 appeared and you still remember a few details – the more, the merrier. You can also instruct ChatGPT to ask each other questions so that you can come to a solution together.

It would be conceivable, for example: »I’m looking for a song sung by a rock band that describes an astronaut drifting through space. Ask me questions I’ll try to answer so we can figure out what song it could be«

Explore your »Ikigai« with ChatGPT

Ikigai comes from the Japanese language and culture and describes the reason why you get out of bed every day. To put it bluntly, it is career advice that can be applied to other aspects of life. In order to find out, four questions must be answered:

• what is your passion
• What are you talented at?
• What can you get paid for?
• What do other people in the world need?

You then look for overlaps between the four answers and can thus find out which calling or goal will make you happiest. Thanks to ChatGPT, you don’t have to do this analysis yourself.

A simple command like this is enough: »Explore my ikigai with me by asking me questions and I will provide you with answers«.

After you have received your result, you can ask follow-up questions, have professions suggested to you, or use the chatbot to determine whether you are on the right path.

Create workout plans for the gym

First of all: First and foremost, you should contact the staff at your gym if you want a training plan tailored to you. In some studios, however, this service is subject to a charge – not everyone can afford it. In that case, the OpenAI chatbot can help you out.

All you have to do is write down or remember what kind of training machines and other equipment is available in your studio and tell ChatGPT about it. In many fitness studios these are numbered or have a company-internal designation.

You can then tell ChatGPT what equipment the gym has and direct it to create a training plan that is tailored to you.

Make me a training plan that aims to strengthen my back and help me lose weight. I also have knee pain when climbing stairs and this should be taken into account when planning. Write down how many sets and reps I should do per exercise and how many times per week I need to do the training plan.

After creating the plan, you can ask follow-up questions or save them until after the training. No question is too stupid for the chatbot. As long as you don’t delete the conversation, ChatGPT will be able to refer to the plan in the future.

As a bonus, it is also possible to create the training plan in tabular form. Just tell ChatGPT that you want the schedule in tabular form.

Before you actually start the training, you should check ChatGPT’s suggestions again with common sense: Is what the text bot suggests actually useful and feasible? This way you can prevent unnecessary injuries.

Grade and evaluate texts

Not only can you have every text checked for errors or improve the writing style with ChatGPT. The chatbot is also able to rate, grade and rate your writing.

Criteria can be defined according to which ChatGPT should judge your text. It works best if you describe as precisely as possible what is to be evaluated and how.

For example: I had one of my introductions to another article rated for writing style, clarity, and creativity and asked ChatGPT for a score of 1 to 100. The result should then be justified. So my text got a score of 85 and could do better if it was more creative.

As a follow-up prompt, I asked the bot to rewrite the introduction in such a way that it would get a full score. The result is impressive! In this way, as an author, you can learn how to improve your own writing style.

Of course, you shouldn’t rely entirely on the chatbot. Just because they give your essay a grade A doesn’t mean the lecturer or teacher will have the same opinion. Still, it’s a useful clue.

Maximize your chances on the job and real estate market

ChatGPT is an excellent tool for creating cover letters and motivation letters. So that the letter can be optimally matched to the job or apartment advertisement, it is very important to give the bot as much a lot of relevant information from you to provide.

These include, for example, why you are interested in the position/apartment, what hard and soft skills you have or why you fit the description particularly well.

You then instruct the chatbot to write you an application or letter of motivation for the job or apartment advertisement you have selected. Then copy the text of the job or apartment ad and paste it into the ChatGPT chat window.

The result can be changed at will or post-processed with the bot.
