YouTube continues its war against ad blocking, and in the latest round of attacks against users who just don’t want to be bombarded with 30-second ads, it now appears the video sharing platform is going after your computer.
Don’t worry if you noticed YouTube was slow or sluggish in the past few days. It’s not your Internet. It’s YouTube detecting that you have AdBlock installed and therefore slowing down your performance. There are ways around this, such as installing uBlock instead of AdBlock, but apparently even those who have paid for YouTube Premium and AdBlock for other sites experience the slowdown.
While YouTube is taking tougher measures in its war on ad blocking, it seems that it is prompting people to just try harder to keep ads off their videos.
Are you using AdBlock and quitting because of YouTube?
Thanks, PCGamer.
