What’s new on Disney+ in October: what movies and series to watch in early fall

Fall is here, and Disney+ has a slew of great productions to watch on long, cold nights. What’s nicer than sitting under the covers with hot chocolate and your favorite productions?

So, all episodes of the new series The Bear starring Jeremy Allen White arrive on the streaming platform in early October. The series set in a Chicago kitchen has been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike in the US and is on everyone’s lips this fall.

Also, The Walking Dead: Zombie Invasion returns with a final season and a new fact-based crime drama, Candy, starring Jessica Biel in the title role, arrives on Disney+. Obviously, October also means Halloween is coming up, and Disney+ is full of movies and series to help you get through this spooky season: from the much-loved Hocus Pocus and Muppets Haunted Mansion: House of Terror, to classics like Buffy the Vampire Scare (seasons 1 and 2), to spooky horrors like The Haunted Mansion and Bloody Hills (part 2).

What’s more, Marvel Studios presents Night of the Werewolf (Werewolf by Night) – on October 7 you’ll see the story of a sinister night when a secret order of monster hunters reappear from the shadows and gather at the dark Bloodstone Temple on the death of their leader. The macabre commemoration of his life engages the participants in a deadly mystery competition on the trail of a powerful relic – a hunt that will bring them face to face with a dangerous monster.

Also not to be missed is the Disney+ original movie, Rosaline, which hits the platform on October 14. Rosaline is a comedic retelling of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet love story, told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline, who also happens to be one of Romeo’s recent lovers. Heartbroken when Romeo meets and falls in love with Juliet, Rosaline plots to ruin their famous love story and win back her lover.
