UNIVERSITY Esports will be present at GAMERGY

UNIVERSITY Esportsthe esports, technology and education project aimed at university students, will be present at the 2023 edition of the GAMERGYwhich will be held on December 15, 16 and 17 at IFEMA MADRID. The competition is in its 9th season in Spain, and will have a space where competitive, educational and leisure activities will take place.

UNIVERSITY Esports is the largest esports, technology and education project developed for university students worldwide, involving more than 100,000 students from 26 countries on 4 continents.

The ninth season of UNIVERSITY Esports is made possible thanks to the support of WD_BLACK and the collaboration of Wuolah, the note sharing platform for university students.

On-site finals

One of the main objectives of the project in its competitive aspect is to give young people the opportunity to live experiences similar to those of professional esports players. In this sense, they will be played in GAMERGY in person at the finals of UNIVERSITY Esports GAMERGY Qualifiersin the four games selected for this split: League of Legends, VALORANT, TFT y Rocket League.

In total, the first split will distribute more than 10,000 in prizes and experiences for the winning university students.

A space with content for everyone

The stand of UNIVERSITY Esports will have several areas for the public to enjoy. The environment will have a gaming arena where open tournaments will be organized, a Fan Zone with different activities so that they can interact with the brand and win prizes, a console arena and a rest area. A registration area will also be set up for anyone who wants to register for the project and participate in a macro raffle.

CarmenSandwichambassador for UNIVERSITY Esportswill hold a meet&greet with all attendees with a signing and photo session for everyone. On the other hand, the renowned streamer Yuste will offer a workshop in which you will discover more professions within the sector, with experiences told live and with the possibility of interacting with him in the same live.

Educational activities

There will be eight universities that will come to visit GAMERGY. In total, thanks to JUNIOR Esports and UNIVERSITY EsportsMore than 1,000 students will be able to visit the event to learn first-hand about the roles and professions that are part of an event like this, participating in all the scheduled talks and enjoying free time for gaming.

Both the students participating in the project, as well as any attendee to GAMERGY will be able to attend multiple talks and educational activities. One of them, which will be given by the professionals from Mental Gaming, will be oriented to explain how video games can collaborate in personal and professional development. In addition, representatives from Train to Playspecialists in training and physical preparation for gamers and professionals, will give a talk on the importance of physical exercise in gaming.
