The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated a process that was already underway, and now great talents such as Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo and Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson are producing content for streaming platforms. At a time when good box office performance for movies outside of major franchises such as the Marvel Universe is not always guaranteed, interesting stories with high production value can also be found in streaming.

Minions: The Rise Of Gru – July 1, in theaters

It’s been seven years since the first and only Minions solo film, but its sequel, Minions: The Rise of Gru, is still captivating.
