Legendary Swedish band Tiamat will play another concert in Romania, this time at Quantic club in Bucharest. The concert will take place on Friday, 28 October 2022, and has been scheduled since before the pandemic.
Tiamat thus returns to Romania by popular demand after their exceptional show at the 2019 Posada Rock Festival. Romanian rockers could also see the Swedes at the ARTMania Festival in 2009.
Founded in the late 1980s and experiencing worldwide success in 1994 with the release of the album Wildhoney, Tiamat has secured a prominent place in European rock history.
Tiamat, an unpredictable and mysterious band
With a sound that has undergone changes over the years and evolved from death metal to atmospheric gothic, Tiamat has so far managed to record ten studio albums and, despite the fact that the last one dates back to 2012, the band still manages to attract audiences to their concerts, playing unforgettable shows at the most important rock festivals across the continent and beyond.
Clearly, the band’s success is also due to lead singer Johan Edlund, who always gives the impression that anything can happen on stage, leaping artfully from one extreme to another.
Basically, you never know in which mood you “catch him”, so you can witness a classical concert, but also some performances out of the ordinary. For example, in 2019, Edlund delighted fans at the Posada Rock Festival on August 31, 2019, by walking off stage, among them. This happened during the song “Do You Dream of Me”.
And if you’re curious what Tiamat will be playing on October 28, 2022, at Quantic, know that the setlist will focus on the Wildhoney and Clouds albums, but will also go through the other albums they’ve recorded along the way.
Unfortunately, you can’t currently buy tickets online for this concert, but you can certainly find someone selling from those who can’t make it if you really want to.
