Thunderpick World Championship returns in 2025

The sports betting platform, Thunderpickhas announced the return of the Thunderpick World Championship (TWC) in 2025, with a prize pool of $1M. In addition to announcing its return, Thunderpick also pledged to continue the championship in 2026 and to make the Counter-Strike tournament an annual event for years to come.

As we head into our third year of TWC, our mission remains clear: to provide a world-class tournament experience for players and fans alike. With our plans for 2025 underway and 2026 already in motion, we are proud to continue to invest in the future of CS2.

TWC will return with regional events and series in three regions – North America, South America and Europe. The top teams from these regions will then compete in the LAN Tier 1 finals in Malta, which will be held October 15-19, 2025 and offer $850,000 in winnings.

Thunderpick World Championship Schedule

The 2025 championship will be hosted by Hotspawn, an eSports news site, and will be held between April and October 2025. They have also shared that all matches will be streamed live on Thunderpick’s official Twitch channel.

This is the full TWC schedule for 2025:

• TWC EU1: April 28 – May 7, 2025.
• TWC NA1: May 8 – May 16, 2025.
• TWC SA1: June 27 – July 2, 2025.
• TWC SA2: July 8 – July 13, 2025.
• TWC NA2: July 24 – August 1, 2025.
• TWC UE2: August 5 – August 14, 2025.
• TWC Closed Qualifying Finals: September 9 – September 11, 2025.
• TWC Finals Malta (LAN): October 15 – October 19, 2025.

This will mark the third year for the tournament, after first hosting the event in 2023. Last year’s TWC saw 16 of the best teams from around the world compete head-to-head at LVL World of Gaming’s Berlin headquarters, and has earned a reputation as one of the “most sponsored” bookmaker tournaments in the Counter-Strike scene.
