The first RLCS 2026 Major will be held in Boston, Massachusetts.

Epic Games and the tournament organizer BLAST have announced that the first Major of the 2026 Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) season will take place in Boston, Massachusetts. The event will be held from February 19-22, 2026where the top teams will compete for the lion’s share of the $345,000 total prize money.

Teams will compete in three open tournaments in hopes of securing a spot in the Boston Major. Fifteen teams will be invited based on accumulated points, with the final team to be decided in the North America vs. Europe match to be played at the LAN Kick-Off this December.

Team performance in this first major tournament will contribute to qualifying points for both the second major tournament and the Rocket League 2026 World Championship. The final two days of the Boston Major will be held at Agganis Arena on the campus of Boston University. This is a venue that is commonly used for esports and entertainment events, and already hosted the RLCS 2023 Spring Major, won by Team Vitality.

Tickets for the Major will go on sale on November 25 at 7:00 a.m. PT/10:00 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster after the pre-sale concludes. The tournament will be hosted by Epic Games and esports event organizer BLAST.

Those unable to watch the tournament in person will be able to follow the action live via official broadcasts on Rocket League Esports’ YouTube and Twitch channels.

RLCS in 2026

The announcement marks the latest update to Epic Games’ roadmap for RLCS 2026, which was revealed at the World Championship in Lyon last September. Following the Boston competition, the next Major will be held at La Défense Arena in Paris, France, with three Opens in which teams will compete. The circuit culminates with the 2026 World Championship, which will be held September 15-20 next year. Twenty teams will once again compete to be crowned this season’s champions and take home the lion’s share of the $1.2M total prize money.
