The Vivo X90 Pro+ appears in the first real image. Could be equipped with Dimensity 9200 chipset

Vivo’s phones have subtly managed to climb to the top of users’ camera preferences in recent years. While not as popular as Samsung’s models, or as “desirable” as Apple’s, Vivo’s high-end phones equipped with top-of-the-line cameras can keep up with the competition and even surpass it in some cases. Thus, the Vivo X90 Pro+, the company’s next flagship is a highly anticipated one, especially since it might have a 1″ sensor camera. Here’s what it looks like from the first photo leaked on the internet.

The back of the new Vivo X90 Pro+ attracts attention with an unusual design

It looks like Vivo will adopt an asymmetrical design for the back cover of its new flagship, the V90 Pro+. It will also come in a red back cover version, with a round camera module that is not positioned centrally on the back of the phone, but rather aligned to the left. It still includes ZEISS branding for the camera and a large flash, similar to that of a compact camera.

Interesting, however, is the new design gimmick below the camera module, a metal strip reminiscent of the horizontal viewfinder on the cameras of the new Google Pixel 7 models. This could be used to improve the structural integrity of the phone, or it could simply be a design decision. It remains to be seen how much it helps the device’s body rigidity if it makes it into the JerryRigEverything channel’s tests.

Digital Chat Station, the China-based leaker who also published this unofficial photo of the phone, also offered some details about its hardware. It looks like the Vivo X90 Pro+ will be one of the first models to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200 chipset, the most powerful chipset announced so far. The phone will also use 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and the 1″ Sony IMX989 50-megapixel photo sensor for the main camera.

Most likely, the phone will be officially announced before the end of 2022.
