The trailer for the third season of “The Umbrella Academy” has been released, untraditionally, on Twitter and offers interesting details about the upcoming action in the series.
The superhero series, Netflix, is based on the graphic novels of the same name, written by Gabriel Bá and Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) and tells the story of a group of former children’s heroes who come together to save the world. With two seasons to go, “The Umbrella Academy”, the third part, will focus on the story behind the Oblivion Hotel.
Starring Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin H. Min.
What’s new in the third season of “The Umbrella Academy”
The third season of “The Umbrella Academy” “comes bundled” with a number of important cast members, including Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David and Jake Epstein, who will play members of the Sparrow Academy, which has been under discussion since the second season. Apparently, Sparrow members are much better trained than Umbrella.
The new season will feature the appearance of Javon Walton, who caused a stir in the role of Fezco’s younger brother, Ashtray, in the hit teen series HBO’s “Euphoria.”
Recently, at the SXSW Film Festival, The Black Umbrella Academy producer Steve Blackman shared a mini-trailer for the third season on Twitter.
It remains to be seen whether, in the new season, those from “Umbrella Academy” will be able to resolve their conflicts with their rivals from “Sparrow Academy”. Of course, we can expect many more surprises along the way.
The trailer is a short one, only 17 seconds long, but it offers a pretty broad perspective on the future action.
The third season of The Umbrella Academy is set to officially launch on Netflix on June 22, 2022.
