Do what Netflix does, and every once in a while it hits with a film released on its platform.
This is also the case of the example here, which made a splash in Romania recently, on Valentine’s Day to be precise.
The film went straight to number one in terms of viewing hours. The lead roles star actors already beloved by audiences – possibly one of the reasons why this production initially attracted attention.
If you’ve already seen The Devil Wears Prada, My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, 27 Dresses or Morning Glory and liked them, director Aline Brosh McKenna has struck again.
Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher movie, designed to make your day.
As the times we live in are not exactly the happiest in history, we need comedies to cheer us up.
That’s where Netflix’s latest hit, Your Place or Mine, starring Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher, comes in.
Where you add that, being a romantic comedy, it fits the “glove” of the days between Valentine’s Day and Dragobete. In other words, a perfect film to watch with your other half.
“Your Place or Mine” has been available on the aforementioned streaming platform since last weekend, and has since pretty much smashed all the charts in our country.
The film tells the story of Debbie (Reese Witherspoon) and Peter (Kutcher) who are lifelong friends and still keep in touch, even though they live quite far apart.
As if that wasn’t enough, they are totally different.
While Debbie is a single mother and accountant whose life in Los Angeles is planned down to the last detail, Peter is a marketing executive and an aspiring writer whose life in New York is a chaotic one, marked by fleeting and unimportant relationships.
The two come to realize, rather quickly, that the life they have is not necessarily the one they need.
More on Netflix, of course.
