Razer has presented a range of new options for gaming mice, and one of them is a very striking and surprising innovation. Because the technology company has announced its first vertical mouse, where this is a device meant to be used upright and is considered a step forward in ergonomics.
Officially called the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition, it sits at a 71.7-degree angle intended to reproduce the grip and natural feel of a handshake. The idea is that this reduces a user’s strain, while the extended thumb rest keeps the hand relaxed and the base is meant to lead to smoother movements.
There is also a more traditional Pro Click V2 model that sits at a more common 30-degree angle. It is also designed with ergonomics in mind, but not as aggressively as the vertical alternative.
Both mice are also integrated with artificial intelligence systems via Razer Prompt Master, which claims “streamline the process for creating prompts” and “enables users to quickly reformulate, summarize and create personalized prompts with minimal disruption to their workflow.”
The mice launched today and are available to snag on the Razer Store for $120 and $100, respectively.
