The King’s Ransom – That’s Gaming

Immersive entertainment studio Maze Theory today released more information about the new free content coming to their immersive action-adventure VR game Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom, including new missions, environments, challenges, customization options and more.

As detailed in both a new illustration of the Content Roadmap and a video, the upcoming updates are a reflection of the successful launch of Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom on Meta Quest 2 and PICO 4 on March 9, 2023, building on the game’s positive reception and feedback from the Peaky Blinders community.

The 2023 roadmap confirms that Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom will be permanently supported with regular new free content in the coming months and beyond, all designed to enhance and expand the gameplay experience. Phase 1 of the roadmap – from April to August 2023 – will include new combat missions, challenges, weapons, a new environment and customization options for players, along with regular updates and quality-of-life improvements. In April, updates will add new shooting galleries with moving targets to improve your combat skills, and the ability to jump back and replay your favorite chapters of the campaign.

Further details about the exact release date and specific information about each future content update will be revealed at a later date.

“From launch day, we have been amazed to see the reactions, feedback and game clips our players have shared with us! We’re excited and looking forward to seeing how our Peaky gang pounces on all the new content,” said Tim Jones, Game Director at Maze Theory. “We are constantly monitoring player feedback and based on this we have a plethora of ‘peak’ content planned for the coming months aimed at expanding the gameplay experience, adding new features and increasing replayability – this is just the beginning, we will be announcing details on what is to come in Phase 2 later this year.”

Inspired by the BAFTA award-winning drama, Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom offers an original story written in collaboration with Peaky Blinders producer and brand owner Caryn Mandabach Productions, and with creator and writer of the series Steven Knight. The game was created in partnership with Banijay Brands, the commercial arm of content giant Banijay.
