The four best electric toothbrushes in 2022 for all budgets

Brushing your teeth regularly is an essential activity for human health. But to be a beneficial routine, people need to follow certain rules and use the right toothbrushes.

Brushing should take at least two minutes, should cover the surfaces of all teeth, and the toothbrush should not be pressed too hard on them. Some brushes clean better than others, and many people prefer to use electric toothbrushes. They offer some clear advantages: they include a timer that lets you know when 2 minutes have passed, offer multiple brushing modes or include pressure sensors.

Some recent studies indicate that electric toothbrushes are more effective than standard ones when it comes to removing tartar and reducing gingivitis.

Other research suggests that electric models degrade the outer layer of teeth faster. But experts say users can combat this problem by using a soft-bristled brush head.

The respected US consumer watchdog Consumer Reports (CR) currently recommends four models of electric toothbrushes. These are also available on the Romanian market. CR selected them based on criteria such as how well they clean, how easy they are to use, how fast the battery charges, battery life and noise level.
