The BMW 5 Series Touring has become all-electric –

BMW has announced that for the sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series Touring model, it will abandon internal combustion engines entirely and instead use only an electric powertrain.
The BMW i5 M60 xDrive Touring offers a 442 kW/601 hp engine that can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The other model, the BMW i5 eDrive40 Touring, has a 250 kWW/340 hp engine that can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.
In addition to a battery that can recharge quickly and a chassis that is longer and wider, the car also has an interior highlighted by a 12.3-inch display and control panel that can use Apple Car Play and Android Auto, as well as offering a virtual assistant.
The new models will debut in Germany, Japan and a few other European countries in May before rolling out more widely in June.
