Video game developer EA SPORTS has introduced in recent weeks a wide range of esports jerseys at EA SPORTS FC 24including those from UK organizations such as Guild Esports, Fnatic and Man City Esports.
Fans can play with the jerseys of 17 sports organizations in EA FC’s Ultimate Team mode by completing a series of team-related challenges. For example, to get the Team Heretics jersey, fans must score two goals with a Spanish player.
The activation is part of the February EA FC Pro Team update and continues the franchise’s tradition of including the jerseys of some of its esports teams. In addition to including the teams’ jerseys in the Ultimate Team game mode, players will also will be able to purchase the organization’s badges.
The full list of esports organizations that have been selected for activation includes: Fnatic, Team Gullit, DUX, FOKUS, FUTWIZ, SPQR, Guild Esports, Mkers, GIANTX, TG.NIP, Man City Esports, Team Heretics, Atlético de Madrid x Movistar Riders, Blue United, MGCF eSports, Team Falcons and RBLZ Gaming.
Sponsors of selected teams have also been included on the esports jerseys, such as Sky (Guild Esports), boohooMAN (FUTWIZ) and Phillips OneBlade (TP.NIP and Team Gullit) prominently featured on the front of the jerseys.
EA FC recently concluded the first major leg of its esports ecosystem, the FC Pro Open, earlier this month, and it became the franchise’s most popular esports event. FC Pro’s 2024 competitive season has undergone a major overhaul following EA FC’s separation from soccer’s governing body, FIFA.
The top FC Pro League competitors will qualify for the eChampions League. in May and, finally, 32 players (including the top four competitors of the FC Pro Open) will compete in the FC Pro World Championship.
