The alternative to Vocea României comes to HBO Max: the streaming service, a competitor for Pro TV

While Vocea României seems to be making the law in Romania in terms of competition built around musical talent, HBO Max has already announced a very attractive alternative that you will only see on the streaming platform.

From April 1, 2022, approximately one month after the service became available in Romania, HBO Max will offer subscribers the show One True Singer. This is the first talent show produced in Romania meant to be broadcast on a streaming platform.

One True Singer on HBO Max, an alternative to Vocea României on Pro TV

According to the data provided by HBO on the subject, the show will combine reality-show production with talent-show, just like Romanians have talent, Vocea României or X Factor. Basically, “it will put in the spotlight young artists who will prove that they have everything they need to become the next megastar of Romania”, it is shown in a press release sent by HBO Max.

As with the competition, One True Singer will go through several challenges to test both the vocal qualities and the composition, physical endurance, mental endurance, live performance talent and more. The show is a collaboration with the independent record label Global Records. As a reference, Antonia, Carla`s Dreams, Alina Eremia, Dj Project, Irina Rimes, Inna and The Motans work under this company. The prize of the competition is a music contract of 50,000 euros with Global Records, but also money, also 50,000.
