The alternative to Netflix and Disney+ that all Romanians need to know: it makes you forget about HBO. When SkyShowtime launches

SkyShowtime is Europe’s newest streaming service, launching in more than 20 markets that are home to 90 million households. It could be the perfect alternative to Netflix.

Now available in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia and Sweden, SkyShowtime will continue during the first quarter of 2023 with the launch of the service in Albania, Andorra, Czech Republic Hungary, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Spain

SkyShowtime is a joint venture between Comcast and Paramount Global that brings together original entertainment, movies and series from iconic brands including Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, SHOWTIME, Sky Studios and Peacock.

SkyShowtime launches on 14 February in Romania

SkyShowtime is the place to find exclusive first-run premieres of Universal and Paramount movies, as well as Paramount, NBCU and Sky series.

The new European streaming service will be available from 14 February in Albania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. SkyShowtime offers quality content, providing customers with a diverse selection of exciting entertainment – including first-run Hollywood movies and exclusive new series from the world’s biggest studios.

With thousands of hours of quality entertainment for the whole family, SkyShowtime is the home of new blockbusters that will be available on the platform after their release in cinemas and on small screens. With the launch, local audiences will have access to Ambulance, Downton Abbey: A New Era, Jerry and Marge Go Large, Jurassic World Dominion, Ray Donovan: The Movie, Redeeming Love, The Bad Guys, The Hanging Sun, The Northman and Top Gun: Maverick.

In addition, subscribers will have access to a diverse selection of series: including: 1883, 1923, A Friend Of the Family, All The Sins, American Gigolo, Funny Woman, Halo, Law & Order Season 21, Let The Right One In, Mayor of Kingstown Season 1 and 2, Pitch Perfect: Bumper In Berlin, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Souls, Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, The Calling, The Fear Index, The First Lady, The Midwich Cuckoos, The Offer, The Rising, The Undeclared War, Tulsa King, Vampire Academy and Yellowstone.
